Fall is definitely in the air in Texas! I've spent the past couple of days weaving my chores and crochet addiction around the Major League Baseball divisional playoffs (go Rangers!). The dogs think I've gone daft (they're smarter than they look) as I watch the games and talk/yell aloud, sometimes very desciptively, but they are very forgiving and soon settle down beside me as I watch and crochet or work on the computer. The excitement of the contest, the roar of the crowd, the jubilation of winning and the agony of losing all transport quite easily to me via my television screen. I have been there among the crowd, have felt the excitement slipping though the air like electricity but this year I am destined to watch from my screen(s) and participate through the magic of television just as I did as a child. Not as great as being there but not a bad thing either, I can even imagine my brother sitting on the sofa and cheering right along with me!
While I do not look forward to winter, I do look forward to the baseball playoffs and to the extra time for crocheting. My already impressive que, continues to grow daily. I have just added another project and am seriously considering signing up for the Red Heart Wednesday Night Stitching Challenge to aid in finishing some ongoing projects. Click the link to join in if you're interested. Like baseball, it's a lot of fun. These days will be gone too soon but for now I'm soaking up the last remnants of green grass and hot dogs to tide me over until spring.
